About Quarter Hoarder
Hi, I’m Jason, the creator of Quarter Hoarder.
Over a decade ago what started as just me, my metal detector, and a love for digging old things out of the ground has grown into something I never could have imagined. Through the years, the journey grew to include an amazing crew of close friends who now share the hunts, find some absolutely incredible things, work together to get access to the oldest and most historic properties in the region, and of course contribute to some fantastic moments that happen along the way. Today, Quarter Hoarder has become a community of more than 100,000 people who watch our adventures unfold each week and I’m thankful to have everyone for joining in for the ride. Meet the Crew.
What we do
Most of our hunts take place at private historic homes, colonial farm fields, and other early American properties there’s potential for some of the earliest finds from our country and often to lead to all sorts of surprises that were hiding right under our feet. Along the way, we get to meet some wonderful property owners who open up these old places to us and see some beautiful old homes and landscapes that blow our breath away. Not to mention give us a great opportunity to detect the grounds in search of old coins, early American and colonial relics, along with other pieces of history that may have been dropped and lost there centuries ago. Each Tuesday a new Quarter Hoarder video gets released on YouTube and shows the fun, excitement, and the amazing treasures from the hunt.
Quarter After LIVE
I also host Quarter After, an extension of our Quarter Hoarder hunts that airs LIVE on Thursday nights, sort of an after show if you will. Here we break down our latest hunts in more detail, answer questions, and share more of the behind-the-scenes background on the locations, finds, and everything that happened during the hunt, all while hanging out with the community in the live chat.
I also bring on guests for interviews that cover all sorts of interesting topics, including fellow treasure hunters, historians, authors, and television personalities connected to treasure hunting, history, and adventure. It gives us a chance to go beyond the finds themselves and dig deeper into the stories, people, places, and history that make this hobby so interesting.
