After years of metal detecting, I’ve tried a lot of different equipment. This is the gear we currently use on our hunts, from detectors and digging tools to cameras, microphones, and plenty of other gear that helps bring Quarter Hoarder to life.

Nokta Legend 2
Jason and Doug’s main detector for several months now and the one you’ll see being using in the most recent videos. I like it’s depth, target separation, and how well it performs in a variety of conditions.
Nokta Legend
The original Nokta Legend is a powerful and reliable machine that performs great on the sites we hunt, especially in older more mineralized ground. Similar to the Legend with slightly less features, a lower ID scale, and the older hardware.
Triple Score
The Triple Score is a lightweight, easy-to-use detector with plenty of performance at a lower price point. It comes with wireless headphones and two search coils, making it a great all-around machine for a variety of terrains.

Over the shoulder sling bag to keep the weight off your hips. Different models available but this is the basic design
Heavy nylon bristle brushes to remove the thick dirt and clay before using a standard toothbrush for finer work.
