A curated collection of Quarter Hoarder videos for anyone interested in metal detecting some of America’s oldest farms and fields. These hunts take you to real properties that have been worked since colonial times and earlier, where generations of farming have scattered old coins, buttons, relics, and other pieces of early American history across the soil.

This Colonial property broke all kind of records!

We get access to metal detect a good amount of colonial houses, farms, and fields. Sometimes they produces a fair amount of period things, sometimes they don’t produce much at all, then other times they produce an abundance of colonial coins and relics, and this was that place! This was the first trip of which became many, and from this start you can see why we came back often. It’s not everyday the metal detecting can produce this much incredible treasure, but this spot broke some records!

Another 1600s Hammered Silver

If this colonial field didn’t produce enough incredible treasures already, another trip and even more came pouring out of the ground, including a rare hammered Spanish silver coin from the 1670’s that simply blew us all away!

Colonial Fields Held True Treasures

Just behind a colonial farmhouse dating back to 1735 sits this old farm field that likely predates the house, and our metal detectors found some of the oldest coins and relics all year, including this RARE 1793 Flowing Hair!

Hunt This 1700’s Site While We Can

This colonial field had already given up countless colonial and early American coins and relics on previous trips, but the property sold and builders we’re coming in so let’s metal detect it again before its gone forever!

Last Minute 1730’s Property

As we were driving to one colonial property we noticed this second colonial house house around the corner. So a last minute door knock and we got access, now let’s hope there’s some incredible old treasures waiting to be found!

This Early 1700s Site Was on Fire

We took a return trip to an early 1700s site where we already pulled dozens of old coins and relics, but in metal detecting no spot is ever hunted out, and this video shows why with a monster Two Reales!

Spanish Reales For Everyone

Metal detecting this early 1700’s field was a strange day. We walked for hours, sometimes never hearing a single sound, and then when a signal does appear, it’s something incredibly old and truly amazing!

Two Properties, 1735 & 1740!

Sometimes when we metal detect an old colonial site the neighbor comes over to see what we’re finding. Often they get interested enough and invite us to detect their property as well, and then we end up with two colonial properties, right next to each other!

1710 Farm Loaded With History

We got access to metal detecting this amazing early 1700s farm, where the farmer drove us on the tractor right back to where the original starter home was, there were some amazing colonial finds!
